Our 6 weeks in Iowa kept us busy seeing family & friends and taking care of numerous projects. Our MH found homes at Swan Lake State Park near Carroll, IA, a dead-end street in Gilbert, IA, Yellowsmoke County Park near Denison, IA, Paul Wolff County Park near Elgin, IL, the Herbert Hoover Presidential Library in West, Branch, IA and the un-used corner of the parking lot at St. Anthony’s Nursing Home; boondocking at some and W/E hook-up sites at others.

In Illinois we were able to watch our granddaughter Jess play clarinet in the Marching Band during her school’s HS Football game. We also smoked salmon in Eric’s smoker and watched the Bears FB game.

It has been delightful reconnecting with my mom. Telephone conversations are fine but I sure enjoyed spending time visiting and taking her on wheel chairs rides through the halls, the garden and over to the Hospital to see the new-born babies. Looking at pictures brought out so many old stories and memories. I’m so glad that we had this time together!
We are now traveling west on our way to Seattle, Washington.
