(Jan) There is life after Boomerville! Chuck & I spent four night at the Elks in Sun Ciity, Az looking around and visiting friends. We enjoyed having lunch at Senor Taco and had a wonderful Friday night Fish dinner at the Peoria Cafe. It’s one of our friend’s Bobbie & Jim’s favorite restuarants. We and Jim & Diane joined them there for good baked potatoes & coleslaw and 3 huge pieces of delicious Cod. Yum! We then adjourned to Jim & Diane’s for a really fun game or two of Pegs & Jokers. The guys & gals split wins.
Next stop; Ajo. It was our friend Dean’s birthday so we joined he and Judy at the Ajo Roping Arena where they were staying with the Boondocking Group. Boondocking at the Roping Arena is $3/night, $15/week and $25/month. There is water & a dump available. It’s good to be with these two friends again & celebrate with ice cream & Birthday cake. Through the next eleven days we joined the Boondocker group for many Happy Hours and an evening Fire. We also went over to the Golf Course where they were holding their Annual Fiddler’s Contest. There were fiddlers from Kids to Gaffers doing all kinds of Fiddling. Here’s a photo of crowd favorite, Henry The Fiddler. Yes, that is his name!
Mark & Judie were also in the Ajo area for the first several days so they joined us for a Super Bowl Party! Even though the big game wasn’t overly exciting, it was a really great time with good friends and good food & drinks. Friends Duane & Betty and Ed & Jan, who were not with us, are huge Denver Bronco Fans so we had fun texting during the Broncos victory.
When we were at Boomerville a group of Ukulele players got together to jam & for sing alongs. Two of them, Judy & Dave and Linda, who plays the Recorder, are also Boondockers. One evening they got together and entertained at the evening Bonfire. So fun! I just helped sing that night but have been bit by the Uke Bug! By borrowing a spare Ukulele from Dave, I was able to get acquaited over our time at Ajo. And a new Uke, bag, tuner and music book were ordered a waiting for me in Yuma.
One night Dean & Judy’s friends from Ajo joined us for Happy Hour and dinner. We were delighted to meet Bill & Dorothy and had a very fun evening. Another afternoon we got out the Booce Balls for a Desert Game. Believe it or not, Judy & I finally beat the guys 2-1.

Fun post. So happy the Uke bug bit you. Should be fun for you.
Can't wait to hear you play the Uke. Hopefully we will get to chat next season. :-)
